Fall coaching season ended in mid-November with a college showcase in Illinois. I took sometime and reflected on the season. There were many positives and things I tried which appeared to work; however, I had things which didn't work.

Since reflecting I've begun an offseason program to continue to develop as a coach. I read extensively and I'm currently switching between "The Coaches Guide to Teaching" by Doug Lemov and "The Working Hands of a Goddess" by Tom Underhill. Additionally, I signed up for "PDS Need Centered Coaching Excellence" by Mark Bennett which is an online course. Finally, I've also been rewatching the "Coaching Positional Play" online course found at itsjustasport.com. In later posts I'll go into each more specifically but as I recently read "The best player development is coach development".
